Remember these on a 10 handed game because they can make or break you;                      

TROUBLED HANDS  ONLY WHEN OFF SUIT

1. I don’t consider troubled hands when they are suited and when I get them in a short handed game with 5 or 4 players

Left.  They are big hands.

2. After playing for a few hrs 10 handed, you have to ACCLIMATIZE on the FINAL TABLE as each player is knocked out.

Adjusting quickly to a short hand game [5 or 4 players left] is PARAMOUNT. It also makes the hands above much stronger unsuited. It’s difficult to draw to flushes with fewer players as well. But less chance of anyone gets aces against you, vica versa. Position is an important factor as you will soon learn. Also you must be more aggressive in your game.

3. Even on a straight draw, most players keep any 5? Or 10? Because you can’t get a low straight without them, so if a 678 JQK 234 mixed comes up, play careful.      

4. Some sites do HEADS UP that’s just two players, I recommend trying this, to give you the experience you will need.

Don’t forget if you last on the final table and reach the situation with just you and him for the first time, you will need some experience behind you. 

5. on most tourneys you will come across in the first hr when its a rebuy, players don’t play their usual game and go a bit crazy. Watch out for this! Don’t let it give you the impression after reading a player he will play like that after the rebuy.

Players will try and pick up easy pots at the beginning, or near the money stage [paying out money say from the 30th]  

Especially when they sense tight play and they are getting low stacked after the rebuy has ended, or the blinds and antes come in to effect.

6. Important note to remember its best to rebuy at the start, then you will have 3000 in chips, once your over 1500 without a rebuy, you won’t be able to. Unless you lose what you have accumulated back to 1500 or less during the rebuy period.

Players can spend a lot at this time when the rebuy is low and play very loose, it’s up to you to take advantage if you can during this time.
